I was attempting to play minecraft after the 1.12 update. As I clicked on my newest world, I became stuck at the "Generating World" loading screen. The screen was entirely frozen as even the messages had stopped changing. I tried to connect to my friend's world as he seemed to have no issues. While there was never a visual text sayi ng I had joined the game, it said I was an operating player and that he could see me but I was still stuck ay the loading screen. I restarted my phone which did nothing. Finally I uninstalled minecraft and reinstalled it. I could create new worlds and play in them fine, but whenever I would close the app, the same issue would happen. I don't know if this could be a corrupted file or possibly just a bug from the update but I would appreciate some assistance. Thank you for your help. I hope to be in contact soon.

Same thing happened to me when I went to the nether then exited out of Minecraft while still in the nether. Now my world always gets stuck on the generating world screen
