Game crashes when trying to load

I click on the Minecraft app (iPad mini 4). A white screen appears with the word Mojang and a moving “bar graph” underneath, The game opens and a main menu appears. I click on the Play tab, I choose my world, and updates for packs occur. Once the updates have stop, the gray box that give you advice or suggestions appears, and then nothing. The game sits on this screen for less than a minute, then I see my iPad main screen. This began at the end of February 2019. With each game update, I have tried to open the game and the crash still occurs. I have updated my iPad and then set the iPad to default settings and loaded the app “fresh” and installed the saved update information. I have signed into the game and it crashes. I have created a new world and it crashes. On the grey box with the advice or suggestions, the load bar underneath the wording does not move like it did before.
