When I mine in my survival world ors drop exp and the game let's me pick it up but it doesn't add up in my exp bar giving me no exp from mining. I have tried reloading the game and restarting my console none of this has resolved the issue.

When I mine ores in my survival world the ores drop exp but when I pick it up the exp does not add up in my exp bar therefore I do not gain any levels from mining eventhough the ores drop exp. I have restated minecraft and my console but doing so has not resolved my issue.
