Since the newest update I've been unable to start a game, the game syncs user data then only shows the background of the Rotating village.

I am also experiencing this problem, yet my son and daughter can get onto it with no problems from their own accounts on the same console.

I believe I've found a way round the bug;
Open Minecraft and get to the rotating village screen.
Sign out of xbox live. (This should take you to the screen that's missing.)
Sign back into your account.
Hopefully this helps anyone having the same issue.
