Recipe Book/Crafting Table no longer highlights needed items

Crafting behavior has changed from previous versions.  For example, if you want to craft torches and only had sticks, previously the crafting table would show the missing coal in red.  Now when you do that same behavior, both the sticks and coal will show without the red background (as if I had both items in my inventory).
