After the 1.13 update I now take an excessive amount of damage using the elytra. I used to be able to fly close to trees, but now if I am close, but not touching I hit them all the time and the elytra close and I take fall damage to myself and armor.
Landing used to be relatively smooth and easy. Now just the slightest bump and I take damage to my health and armor. This wasn't happening in previous versions. Its like everything is super sensitive and you cannot land properly anymore without taking damage. Touching any wall/stairs or partial block seems to do damage. You must land smoothly/slowly on solid ground in order to avoid the damage. Please fix as the Elytra are now dangerous to use and it is ruining one of the most fun aspects of the game.

Same, even coming in for a softer landing I'll take 5 or 6 hearts of damage when i touch down. Ive had issues with the world not rendering while Im flying and I'll either run into the side of a hill or if I go into an area that hasnt rendered I take damage and my elytra closes and I fall taking more damage, I havent flown above 90 blocks since the update for this reason.
