Looking at the sky and other things results in smooth turning and smooth gameplay, but looking at a collection of fancy leaves on trees results in choppy turning and notable lag. Nothing special has to happen for this to occur.

Well, your device doesnt support well fancy graphics, it wil run smoothly with the mipmaps in 0.8.0, So invalid issue.
