Since the 1.13.0 update I have been having issues placing or mining blocks.
While trying to select a block, the game will select a block one behind or too the side. This means it is impossible to mine anything or build. It makes no difference if I active split controls or not.
I first had this problem with 1.13.0 update. I've un installed the game twice, have updated to the beta version and I'm still having this problem. I've also updated my tablet.

A friend of mine is also having this issue. It appears to be a change to block selection in that it's tied to where the character is looking rather than where the player is actually touching. I can see why they might have done this but they've effectively broken third person view. Switching to first person view is a work around until they get this fixed.
I would also add that I was able to duplicate the issue on my phone by switching to third person view.
Joey - there are an enormous number of tickets that come up for that search and none of them appear to have anything to do with this. There is no lag involved in this issue.
Yeah it isn't lag, it's a block selection issue.
It would be nice if it was ever addressed. I'm partially sighted and can only play in third person. Means I can't play the game at all right now because I can't build or mine.
Still can't play.
If this is how it's going to be I'm planning to uninstall the game and may contact Google to see if I can get a refund. I'm unhappy because I've spent a reasonable amount of money in game and can't play.

Still getting this after the update. I basically can't play and it's extremely annoying.
