We have an IPad (A1458) and iOS 10.3.3. We update the Minecraft app October 30, 2019, version 1.13.
When we start the Minecraft app we see the Mojang logo. Then the screen is white and after a while the app closes.
My son loves to play Minecraft and is so worried that everything he has built is gone.
We would be very grateful for help with our problem.

I litterily have the exact some problem with the exact same ipad and the exact same update I've tried reinstalling, clearing RAM, powering off, double clicking the home screen and swiping up, go in the app 10 times and delete apps

Seems to be no answer on here from Mojang about how to resolve it and I haven’t found a solution after following every piece of advice via google/ YouTube searches. If anyone has a miracle cure please let me know. We also have an older IPad however the iOS we are running is later than the recommended version 8 so it should work. My daughter is desperate to start up this game.
Have paid my money and have nothing in return. 😞
