I was watching a video tutorial of Minecraft that used the observation block. I tried to do it in my Minecraft Pocket Edition, but it didn't work, because in the tutorial, the observation block activated a piston that was 1 block away, and in MCPE, only activates the piston if it is on the side of the observation block.
I don't know if Minecraft on the other platforms is like this too (because I don't have another platform), but if the error is only on MCPE, please fix it 😉

The ability of a redstone device to power a piston from one block away is a feature of Java Edition only, often called "quasi connectivity". It was originally a bug that Mojang tried to fix, but many Java players complained loudly because they found it very useful, so Mojang changed their mind and made it a feature instead.
The feature is illogical as there is no actual connection between the powering device and the piston, so when Bedrock was being ported it was deliberately left out since doing so wouldn't break anybody's worlds. Though it has been requested to add it many times, Mojang has consistently stated that they will never do so.
If you haven't already, you will find out that there are many differences of redstone between Java and Bedrock. Some builds will work in both, and some won't.
I don't think that this is a bug and is just not a feature for bedrock!
Pretty sure that the video showed quasi connectivity which is a feature in java!
