Everytime I go to save and quit on the Nintendo switch version of Minecraft bedrock edition it crashes the game and I lose all my progress since last time the game auto saves and the game also crashes sometimes when I interact with a item. For me this has only happened on the Nintendo switch version of minecraft bedrock edition because my game doesn't crash on my xbox or phone when I go to save. This also happens when I'm on a server and press save and quit. This has been going ever since the 1.13.1 version was first released and it's been really annoying for me losing all my progress I've done since the last auto save.

Same. I learned through trial and error that its tied to the new character customization. If you play local only, before it has a chance to sign you into internet, then the crashes stop. Can’t use skins or textures as a result, but its playable. Sucks a LOT. I hope they fix this soon.
