I bought minecraft java a few years ago on my old laptop and im trying to recover it. I have a xbox that has minecraft. so can i cross play with them

Sorry, you need Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition to cross-play with Xbox.

I really wish Java edition could cross-play. 😞
