iPad freezes when closed with Minecraft running. Can’t turn off - only force reset works. On older iOS and/or Minecraft versions it was less fatal - after unlocking you could see only background and for a moment Minecraft icon.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Minecraft.
Open a world.
Start playing.
Lock your device without saving and/or closing the game.
Wake up your device and enter password.
Freeze!
