Me and my friend can't connect to each other's world, it's a bug that has been happening since the Aquatic Update, not a problem with the Microsoft account, or the way the world is configured, because it's not just in one world, but in any one we create.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MCPE-36190, so I've resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
