Hi - since the 1.14 update on Android, Minecraft no longer starts - the screen blanks, then the app exits before any splash screens come up. This is on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S, running Android 6.0.1.
I have the same update working on an older Android table (Google Nexus 10) with no issues.
I have tried clearing cache, clearing data, re-installing the app, and restarting the device, none if which have any effect.
Please can you help bring it back to life? Happy to provide crash logs if that helps.

I can't see anywhere, where I have stated that this is Java edition. The subject and platform all say Android, and the version is the version that is reporting on the Android tablet. Please can you help me tag it correctly if there is something wrong?
I'm having this same issue as well. In my case I've found that playing on a WiFi connection stops it from crashing. But that defeats the purpose of having it on a mobile device. Would very much like this fixed so I can play on the go. Unless this mobile version isnt intended for that, which I might delete it if that's the case....
If I disconnect my tablet from WiFi, the game starts, but then fails with a license check error and exits. The tablet does not have data connection apart from the WiFi.
Confirmed it still happens after 1.14.1 hotfix on Android.
After further checking, WiFi does not impact; it randomly starts roughly one in every fifty or so attempts, regardless of WiFi setting.
