There is a bug that doesn't allow to chat with anyone in a realm, with this bug you can still chat but no one else will see your chat. You also can't see most other people's chat. However the people's chat you can see still cannot see your chat.
This bug was found when i started playing on a realm with my friends, i thought they weren't chatting until they asked why i hadn't chatted in a different app.
I'm not 100% sure on to re-create this bug, but I think it's something to do with different operating systems (i.e. android, ios). I'm on an Android 9.0.0 Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro (currently). My friends on the realm (all ios i think) cannont see my chat. I can assure you we are all on the latest mcpe version as of this being sent (1.14), and none of us are currently using third party apps, like Blocklauncher, to launch our Minecraft's.
Also if you logout and re-login into your xbox account, you can temporarily use chat (for about 10 seconds). All xbox privacy settings have been checked.
