so the last few days when I’ve been playing things have disappeared right after I create them or some things that have been placed for a while have now disappeared and had to be re created.

Same issue here as well. It is like the game rewound itself, but left a few of the items I had acquired during that time frame behind. Also chunk errors have started in some areas where the items that dissapeared were acquired.
