Map and item frame lag

Item frames and maps cause severe lag and fps drops

I too am having significant issues with maps and lag.

I play on XBOX realms and I have a map room with 9x9 1/4 maps placed in item frames on the floor:

1) When I enter the chunk with the maps, most of the time there is a little lag but then when all maps have loaded things run smoothly. Occasionally, there is serious lag, when it appears the games tries to load the maps every time I look away and then look back again (so if I spin around on the spot every time I face the maps the world stutters).

2) However, the most significant problem is looking towards the map room chunk from other chunks. Moving around near the map room chunk, while looking towards it causes serious lag-stutter. It seems that it is constantly trying to load the maps. It makes playing in this area of my realm very difficult. I find that I have to constantly face in the opposite direction to the map chunk in order to avoid the lag.

These problems seem to have started when the hot fix 1.14.1 dropped.

I'm getting the same issue, if you try to make a floor of maps the fps drop will become very noticeable, if i look away from the maps the fps goes back to normal but if i'm looking in the direction of the maps even behin walls or very far away, the performance drop still happens.

I have plenty of ram dedicated to minecraft and that doesn't seem to change anything.
