Setting the storage location to External makes it so I cannot access skins, etc on my Xbox Live account. It appears to work fine with storage location to Application, however.
Not sure if the issue is new to this version or older, as I just installed Minecraft after a little while of not playing.

The way i got it to work:
Delete Minecraft Windows 10
Sign out of Xbox Console Companion + Xbox (Beta - The app that is used for Gamepass on the PC)
Re-install Minecraft Windows 10
Login and sign into your microsoft account
It should now sync correctly.

ive had that alot and i still have it i think its just a problem with the connection with the xbox live account trying to connect to the internet so i can play servers makes it harder
