I went into the nether and then came back out but when I came back out I couldn't interact with my dog. He is tamed but when I right-click on him he doesn't stand up and when I use a water bucket to make him stand up I can't sit him back down. It's like he isn't my dog anymore. 😞

I encountered a similar issue with tamed cat. I found a cat in a local swamp. I put it on a leash and led it back to an area where I was building and it jumped onto a chest. I attached the leash to a fence post. I then named the cat using a name tag.
Later when I went to move the tamed cat, it did not display any command options to make the cat stand. When I knocked the cat to make it stand up when injured, it also did not display the sit command when hovered. Something is definitely bugged with this feature.
The cat will sit on a chest if it is provided, but otherwise, the player has no ability to control it sitting or standing apart from the chest and physically hitting the cat to make it jump off.
The cat is named "Loremaster Mystery". I named it with a name tag renamed in an anvil and then applied to the cat after it was tamed.
Not sure if this is related but my gamer tag does have a white space in it. "foo foo" example of the syntax for my gamer tag. Otherwise, I do not have any special characters in my gamer tag.
I play on a bedrock realm on a LG Q6 android 8.1 running 1.14.1 bedrock app.
