When I open Minecraft for Nintendo Switch, I am not logged in to my Microsoft account, so I press "sign in with Microsoft account" and it opens up a tab that says: "Save purchases to Minecraft account?", and there are two options: Save to Microsoft account, and leave on device, and no matter which one I select it tells me to put a code into a certain website. I open up my browser on my iPad, go to the website, enter the code, and sign in, and it says I am signed in and I can safely close the window, so I go back to the Switch, and I am signed in. But I have to do this every time I open Minecraft! I can log in to my Microsoft account on my computer without any problems or errors, and my too iPad, and stay signed in on those devices. But not on the Switch. This is very tedious and annoying to have to do every time I play Minecraft Switch edition.

I called Nintendo Australia support about getting a refund as the signing in everytime and multiplayer bugs were too much for me and they said that signing you everytime was a security feature, that you can't turn off. Angry about that one.

I never used to have this issue. I used to have to manually (re)login very, very occassionally, maybe 1 in every 50 times i loaded the game. I always chose "Leave on Device". Every other time i was logged in automatically.
However now i have to login using aka.ms every time. Its very frustrating
What has changed? Either its something in the latest version(s) (I have 1.16.21) or its some odd connectivity issue. I changed BB provider and had to open up port 19132 to allow multiplayer so maybe other ports need to be opened
When you select "Sign into Microsoft account" just press B and then it will first sign into your Nintendo accout, then into the MS account you have saved on the console.
I learned this the hard way.
