[MCPE-61647] Freezing during app load - iPad 6th Gen (A1893), iOS v. 13.3

During app load, the Minecraft app appears to freeze. This behavior happens about 75% of the time. Once loaded, however, the app will freeze during gameplay or while navigating the menus prior to even creating a game or joining a world. This behavior occurs whether you are playing network games, local (private) game, or Realms.

Troubleshooting completed:
1. Removed all Resource packs and re-started app. No change in behavior

2. Removed all local worlds and re-started app. No change in behavior.

3. Offloaded app and re-installed app. No change in behavior.

4. Uninstalled app and re-installed. No change in behavior.

5. Ran app without Microsoft Live! Account (default). No change in behavior.

I have checked a number of forums and I have seen a number of folks with the same issue. I attempted to log the activity but the logs do not appear to be saving, regardless of log configuration.

We also are rocking a ipad mini 6th gen IOS 13.3 Just started freezing today. We are experiencing the very same issues as the original poster. 2 other kiddos on a mini 6th gen IOS 12.2 no issues. Please help. We literally bought brand new computers to avoid this...of course only one happened to be loaded with the newest IOS. They just bought their first mods this week. Hopefully it can be resolved soon! Thank you for your help! (This happens 100% of the time for us)

I tried loading on on iPad Air 2, iPad 4, and iPhone 11 Pro and also doesn’t work on any of them. It’s either freezing on the loading page or while signing into Microsoft account. Please fix asap.

My son and I have had the same issue for approximately the past day. Both on iOS 13.3, me on an iPhone X and him on an iPad Air (3rd gen). Initially the app would freeze after a few minutes of play on either local LAN worlds or on realms, and then it got worse. Now we cannot get past the initial Mojang screen. The app freezes after getting about 75% of the way through the initial load.

I have been having this issue for the last two days as well. (iPhone 11). Game freezes after load or during load or interacting with buttons. Game freezes if successfully loads any world, including realms.

I also have the same problem , which I attempted to resolve by reinstalling on my iPad Mini.

it still hangs when I try to sign in to the Microsoft account.

I can confirm that this is also occuring on both of my kids IPADS. 5th edition, Model MP2F2LL/A, IOS 13.3. My boys are super upset and ultra scared that their worlds that they have been working on for 2 years are gone. My fault for not getting them MS accounts sooner.

I just created emails for them and then signed them up. Once I was finished the sign up process the Minecraft app hanged and we closed the app and restarted. I then received the frozen loading screen.

Hopefully the dev's can find a fix and save their worlds. cheers.

Experiencing same issue on 6th generation iPad, iOS 13.3. Always freezes during the initial loading screen, when the bar is about 4/5 complete.

Same issue here. iPad Air 2 on iOS 13.3 and MCPE 1.14.1. I haven’t been able to load it all day. The progress bar gets stuck at about 75% every time. This wasn’t an issue yesterday and nothing changed in my iOS version or MCPE version. No change after restarting, removing resource packs, or reinstalling.

Update: The app loads on the iPhone X, but it was freshly updated to 1.14.1 and when it loaded, my Xbox Live account was logged out. When I tried to log in, the app froze. I think the issue is with the Xbox Live servers, not the app.

Same issue here with my daughter's 6th gen iPad. She's pretty devastated. I updated to newest version of Minecraft; didn't help. Updated iOS software; nope. Offloaded and redownloaded app; nope.

Lol same problem. iPad Pro. 1.14.1 refuses to work with me even checked my internet and freed up more space on my tablet to see if that was the problem and nothing has changed. Glad to know it’s a bug and not my tablet.

I think it is soft side issue. Same problem on my 7+. Disabling internet fixes the problem?.. hmmm...

Issue appears to be resolved. Unsure what changed, but the system no longer has freezing issues. Minecraft version 1.14.1 and iOS is still 13.3. speculation of issues with Microsoft Account login issues may be to blame.
