Tried to reproduce this bug using 2 accounts and the results were the same so probably it's not a "account thing".
After some research I've found that more users other than me are having the same issue, one of them even found a workaround. but it didn't work for me.
How to reproduce:
Go to "Setting>Profile>Unlink Microsoft account", check all the squares and press the "Unlink" button, it gives an error: "Yor account were not able to be unlinked. Maybe check you internet connection?" instead of unlinking your account.

I have this issue still on PS4 - you closed the ticket there (MCCE-11394 )Â
It happened to me few weeks ago when I wanted to play with my daughters on 3 different machines. I connected my daughters account to my PS4 profile by mistake (thought I was on hers) and when I wanted to connect hers it said it was already assigned to other account - I tried to unlink on my PS4 profile but got the `Your account were not able to be unlinked. Maybe check you internet connection?` message. Then, per customer support, I tried to delete game data and reinstall the game - nothing worked and now I cannot connect ANY account to any PS4 profile (even my daughters microsoft account to my ps4 profile) as it stays in loading but nothing happens 😞 Good thing we can play via LAN but my daughter would like to be able to play with her cousin and friends but will be unable to do so on the PS4 (as well as me)Â
Still unsolved even after a full hotfix update
