Ive'd noticed when equipped the angel wings or any kind of server mod on the "Mineville" server or "Mineplex". It seems that the mod is half working, but the hair seems to detaches from its face.
this is causing many problems, Mojang really needs to fix this problems or punish the servers for it, since this has been going on for quite some time now.

Unfortunately we don't accept issues related to External Servers here on the bug tracker, but please add more details if you think this also affects multiplayer over Realms, LAN, or XBL.
I'd suggest contacting the server owner directly or seeking help on the Minecraft forums.
