Experienced this issue recently while exploring. I play bedrock edition on playstation 4 and my save file has reached 1019mb and will not expand more (whenever someone tries to explore, the world crashes). I tried looking up online and apparently there's a cap to the file size. I was wondering if this was a bug, something intended but the file rarely reaches that which means that mine is abnormal (only explored up to 3000, 67, 10000). World runs smooth if not trying to load up new areas
