PS4 Exiting the nether freezes the game. After closing and trying to join friend it doesn't let you join.

I was playing in my friends world. I was in the nether and decided to go home. I entered my portal and the game freezed in the "Building Terrain" screen, so normally I closed the app to re-enter the game. Now I can't my friends world. First i tried every thing connection related, but nothing worked. Then I tried with another PS4 account and it worked, so its nothing with my internet. It's like the game can't decide where to spawn me in the nether or the overworld in my friends world, so it just gives me the error "Unable to connect to world".
