Summary:
When a netherite item is thrown in lava, it bounces repeatedly.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a small pool of lava.
Throw a netherite item in it.
Observed Results:
The item bounces repeatedly.
Expected Results:
The item should just float.

I actually kinda like that they bounce in lava. But imo they should bounce in one spot rather than randomly drift away from where they were dropped
This issue doesn't occur on cauldrons filled with lava.

In java, they float I think you should label this as vanilla parity

In my opinion they should float on lava not bounce because they do that in java edition and it makes more sense.

bouncing is more fun so it should stay

Its annoying that after you die, you won't able to find your netherite gear due to fact that it bounces away

Why don't the developers just copy and paste (with teaks of course) the code that items follow when in water? That way items would behave just like they do in java edition.
