Iron golems are continually hostile

Iron golems keep spawning in village and are instantly hostile towards the player. Attack in any difficulty, even peaceful, and dont pay attention to bad mobs. Ignore zombies and skeletons, full focus is on the player.

Have you attacked a villager? If not, then it defintely is a big.

If they are hostile because you attacked a villager, they should return to neutral if you relog while in the village. Please let us know if this resolves the issue.

They attack no matter what, if I leave the game or chunk they still stay mad.

Would you be able to upload a copy of your world?

I dont have a way of uploading my world, but I have a video of the golem behavior.

I believe that if your popularity gets low enough in a village, then the iron golems will continue to attack you as long as you are present, regardless if they’ve killed you or you’ve relogged. However, it doesn’t make sense to me that they’d attack you on peaceful mode. I am confirming the ticket based on your videos.

I got more villagers and they stopped attacking me. Thank you for the help.

They stopped attacking a few days ago, after I expended the villagers. Since you said it might be the population, I assume that was the problem.

Did some testing and this is what I found:

  1. If your popularity in a village is low enough (from hitting or killing villagers or iron golems), its iron golems remain hostile even after they kill you or you relog.

  2. Iron golems will not begin to target you in peaceful mode.

  3. If an iron golem has already targeted you and then you switch to peaceful mode, it will continue to target and attack you.

  4. Iron golem attacks do not harm you in peaceful mode, but you can take fall damage if they launch you in the air.

Of the above, (3) seems like a bug.

Actually just realized this bug has already been reported at MCPE-47012
