The Summary:-
The nether waste biome are too common in the nether, making the player to find the new biomes.
How To Reproduce:-
Step 1:- Create a new world.
Step 2:- Go far away from the world spawn.
Step 3:- Create a Nether Portal.
Step 4:- Enter the Nether Portal.
Observed Results:-
The Biome generated when entering the portal is the Nether Waste Biome.
Expected Results:-
The new biomes introduced should generate which makes the Nether Waste Biome rare.
Possible Answer:-
• It didn't generate Nether Waste Biome.
• I can't reproduce this.

I think the nether wastes biome is as rare as the new ones, yet, maybe some investigation is needed.

This probably isn't a bug, placing portals in different spots will get you to different biomes
