While in the nether, the new biomes don’t seem to appear as much as java edition biomes, and the Nether wastes biome seems to appear too frequently.

I have to disagree. I made up 6 worlds to test for this and I have seen all three nether biomes at a reasonable size. It's not ridiculously large like the Jungle biomes sometimes. But remember that these biomes generate based on your seed maybe you guys are just unlucky. Either way, I was not able to reproduce this supposed "bug."
Now as of the newest beta that came out a few days ago with bastion remnants, biomes are even rarer to find than before, especially warped forests. The size also seems quite small on crimson forests, soul sand valleys, and warped forests. Sometimes, the basalt deltas feel too large as well. Nether wastes have also stayed the same in size and rarity, they are everywhere and are massive!
1.16.0.63 beta changelog mentions a change to the biome distribution. Is anyone still having this issue?
This bug doesn’t seem to occur anymore, I can find all the new biomes very easily now. Also, the biomes seem to be bigger than they used to be.

I agree. The biomes also don't transition well, unlike the nether atmosphere ironically, and don't connect properly. Nether wastes cut through every soul sand valley and warped forest; I'd assume that it does interrupt the crimson forest, but I haven't found one of 'em yet in my short exploration in the beta.
