App crashes and respawn in drowned underwater cave

This has happened to me 4 times in the last two days. I’ve been branch mining in a system for a couple days. The app freezes and does not allow blocks to be placed, inventory to be viewed, pause menu accessed, game saving to be done. If I run to a different location the map goes to a fragmented X-ray view. I restart the app, load my world and I spawn in a different location nearby but many blocks away in an underwater cave with the inability to avoid drowning. This is becoming annoying as it’s preventing my ability to progress in the world.
