Guardians appear to try to pathfind against the flow of water, causing a massive glitch which breaks all kinds of guardian farms, where the guardians seem to stick to walls, but upon further observation they LEVITATE and I can't find a way to stop them from doing so. We're actually already tracking this issue under MCPE-33641 so I've requested this report be resolved and linked as a duplicate.
That ticket has a Fix Version which means the fix will arrive in the next version or is already included in the latest development version of the game. You can check the Fix Version/s field in that ticket to learn more.
