I am playing on a new beta and sometimes when I place a basalt block (polished and normal one) they desappear. Also when I try to mine them they also sometimes just desappear not dropping anything. I haven't seen this happening for other blocks but basalt is definitely a problem.

Can confirm on windows 10. Not just with polished basalt. I believe it's with every log-like block even the new vines when broken with a silk touch tool and i know how to recreate it.
To recreate:
Place a polished basalt from the side so the top is on the side(like a fallen tree)
Mine it with a silk touch tool.
Try and place the item.
Temporary fix:
This bug will stop if you add a new polished basalt(or the any block of the same type that became bugged) that was placed upright to the bugged item stack.
