Cannot change fullscreen resolution

Actually affects all versions:

With RTX now beeing released, im experiencing very low fps because its locked at 4k, which does not play well with a 2070S, whatever this is a bug or not, this definitly is an issue which makes playing with RTX on unplayable, and im not willing to change the general resoulution to 1440p in the windows settings everytime and change it back when i close the game again, this needs to be an option as quick as possible. (especially since this already a thing in java edition)

The reason why its a thing in Java is because windows treats bedrock edition as an app not a program.  You will have to change your desktop resolution or enable DLSS upscaling in advanced options in order to run this smoothly

Is there any way to make the desktop resolution change automaticly when starting an app?
Having to do that every time when minecraft is started is pretty annoying.

DLSS is enabled any time as it makes stuff actually playable and helps with reaching 60fps on 1440p, the probably only case youd still get constant 60 fps with dlss disabled is on 1080p with a 2080ti.

I would use the latest version of HRC (hotkey resolution changer) for windows 10. Third party app that runs in the background and a key combo can change resolution and refresh rate. I could probably make a program to do exactly what you're asking but you'll have to wait a bit to see what i can manage. If nothing else works keep in touch at [email protected] and we can probably make this happen. I'll be looking out for more solutions to this as it's a problem for everyone running 4k screens

Thank you, got HRC and it works just fine, my problem beeing solved at this point, still unfortunate that it requires some third party software.

Is this still an issue in the latest RTX Beta version?

This is a much needed feature. Not only will it improve performance for RTX users, but it will also increase performance for people who have lower end mobile devices and computers.

Another ridiculous missing feature.

How on earth is a game in 2020 not able to change resolution? Can you just name another not from Windows's store?

Is this still an issue in the latest version? If so, can you add it to the affected versions?
