The standard clear glass block and clear glass pane appear dark as opposed to being clear. Other glass (colored) seem to be darker than intended (may just be a matter of opinion)

This is mainly due to the default texture being stored as a PNG file. I'm assuming the back-end is "guessing" for transparency when working with a transparent PNG. However, when switching to a Targa (TGA) file format for the texture, you can get the glass to look much better. Short term the dev team might change these textures over to tga files instead of png files.

[media]It seems that the glass blocks included in the Nvidia Resource pack are all .tga. A good observation. Ill probably just end up creating a temporary glass rp to cover until mojang/ms change things.

Several improvements and fixes have been made to the Minecraft with RTX beta for Windows 10. Be sure to check out the Known Issues List and Frequently Asked Questions for the latest details, as these issues do not need to be reported here.
If you would still like to report a bug, please make sure that you have checked that your system and graphics drivers are up to date. Also, please make sure that any packs you are using are valid and up to date. (You might need to check the Marketplace for the very latest updates.)
