Sign text does not generate on realms

Every time I decide to put down a sign in front of a building and start typing on realms, the text just decides not to show up.  I've been trying all day, but it just doesn't want to work.  Weirdly, some words can be typed and others can't.  I'm not typing swears, I promise.  I'm just trying to do street addresses.
