i have spent 3 hours mining and i have not found a single diamond it rlly makes me upset because i have put a lot of effort into this world and i rlly would like this bug to be fixed

Are you sure you aren't unlucky? Make a copy of the world and go into creative then use commands to remove the stone:
/fill ~15 0 ~15 ~-15 30 ~-15 air 0 replace stone
