nether broken

sometime when I enter the nether (happened multiple times), all the buttons except movement (chat, pause, inventory, and hotbar) are inaccessible. All the mobs will freeze and chunks won’t load, even though I can hear the mob and player walking sounds. Sides of blocks will be see-through. Nothing functions as normal except for movement, and I would get stuck until I restart minecraft and go into the world (which would put me back in the overworld). Also sometimes the when i generate a world the same thing would happen.
