Before entering the nether, the game runs smoothly and the nether loads fine:
[media][media][media]However, on leaving the nether, the first noticeable issue is that the 'building terrain' screen is visible for much longer than usual, as if the world is taking longer to load. Once the terrain has been built, and the screen returns to normal, huge chunks of the world are missing/invisible:
[media][media][media]I can still interact with the blocks, but they are completely invisible. I can see through the world and into caves below:
[media]This only seems to affect one very specific (but very large) area of the world. The issue is present in both survival and creative modes.
I have only noticed this bug since the release of the latest update. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, checking for new updates, and changing my graphical settings, however nothing works.
I even double checked, and retested for the issue in a completely new world in both survival and creative modes, and the issue still persists!
I would be really grateful for any help on the matter!

I also experienced this as well as I opened up a report but I didn't know this existed. Thank you because this has been driving me crazy ever since I discovered it myself. I thought my world was going to be corrupted. And unfortunately I decided not to go to bedrock until this issue has been resolved.
It seems like a lot of people have had this issue. I may have a clue? I'm not sure. I was looking into the difference between an infinite world and the old school? Maybe this is just a rendering issue? I know I've done a lot of stuff with the nether, and that was the only area that has had this issue for me so far.
Was everybody else on an infinite world that they had done a lot of things to?
I've done a lot of things in the overworld, i don't really like going to the Nether unless I need blaze rods for my brewing stand. But I have a friend who just joined my world build some things and we also found the stronghold. As far as I know, he never goes to the Nether until recently to make sure that I wasn't crazy about seeing chunks invisible.
The same thing happened to me, except now I’m basically stuck in the Nether. I can’t interact with blocks, and I can’t return to the main menu without force closing the app.
@@unknown you could try going into the world, moving some distance, waiting 30s or so, and then closing the app, to see if the auto save will put you in a position that loads better. If you can recover that way, destroy the nether portal and build a new one in a different location to prevent the issue from happening again. You could also try lowering your render distance to minimum and lowering the sim distance on the world if possible, at least temporarily to get in to it where you can then move the portal.
The only soultion at the moment is every time someone enters ore lefts the nethe the render distance must be turnt down to the lowest possible and after leaving each side turn it up again. The chunks shouldnt dissapear anymore. Its anoying i know but at the moment its the only way without closing the application every time. Be aweare that if you play with low render distance elytra flying could be realy dangerous so look out my fellow miners xD
Hi, just wanted to update that this has been resolved on my world. I have been going through the nether and coming back to the overworld without any issues. Great job Mojang and thank you!
This issue was fixed in the 1.16.0 release. We have received a few comments since then describing different problems. Such comments will be hidden to avoid confusion.
This report was about specific chunks never rendering after exiting nether portals in specific locations. Chunks in general rendering too slowly, especially when moving quickly (e.g. flying with elytra) is a different issue.
Have also seen this issue on PC.
