I joined my realm, and moved round then realised alot of chunks were missing. I then quit the game and now have been stuck on "joining realm building terrain" screen for about half an hour now.

we have this same issue on my realm. to the point where we have to do regular resets to fix the chunks. and even that only fixes the chunks for a short time. the broken chunks are random and happen everywhere.

This has occurred for us on a realm in 1.9 and 1.10. It is not the same as other reports. It is not a converted world. (Generated on Win10 about 10 months ago).
The chunk load errors do not load no matter how long you wait. The player can interact with them (see photos). The mobs in them are invisible but active. Relogging does not resolve it. There is a chance that the player will jot be able join and will be stuck on the loading screen.
The only thing that will solve it is formthe server owner to restore from backup. Interestingly, this works even if the backup is from after the chunk load error and/or the player is stuck on the loading screen.

This totally happens, and is actually even worse in 1.10. This needs immediate attention.

Affects 1.10.0 Still chunks errors or missing chunks needs fix this My world it doesn't loading chunks
Is this still happening in 1.11.x, and is this only happening on the Realm itself? If you download a copy of the world save, do the chunks load in correctly then in singleplayer?
Also, please bear in mind that we are investigating an issue with players getting stuck in the loading screen at MCPE-44815.

Still occurs in 1.11
afaik only on the realm itself. It’s not my realm, so I can’t test from backup. I suspect so though, since loading from backup fixes it.

Still affects 1.11.4, this is only a realms issue. Really easy to reproduce, if you leave the game while traveling from the nether to overworld, via portal. When you log in, the overworld chunks will be missing.
"dont leave the game while in a portal, you dumb dumb" yeah well sometimes the game just won't load, and leaves you on the portal screen forever. so, no good way about it.
Keep in mind, this happens even without using a nether portal. Thats just the easiest way to have it happen.

I had this issue on my 1.11.4 realm, and I downloaded and reloaded it. Since late May, it hasn't happened again. Cross fingers it stays like that.

It's not that it's really that bad, it's just inconvenient and a bit exploitable

This happens on a Realm I play on. We have found that once discovered, if everyone logs off of the Realm for about 5 minutes, it fixes itself. It happens in the Nether and the Overworld, not sure if it's happened in the End for us.

This is still happening on realms in 1.11 Had to revert to a previous save

Yeah this isnt really fixed, if anything its kinda worse in 1.12

Hi all,
Is this still occurring for anyone out there? Going through some of the older stuff one of the helpers mentioned a ton of reports regarding issues logging into a realm (getting stuck on building terrain when connecting to the realm). Very similar to MCPE-44815 but not when transitioning between dimensions.
Many mentioned that the issue occurred after moving into chunks that wouldn't load (very similar to the photos shown in MCPE-63268) and then attempting to relog to resolve.
If anyone is still experiencing this issue, or have experienced it recently, could you comment on whether this issue happened following leaving the nether and moving into an unloaded chunk?

this still affects current 1.14 updates, havent played in the 1.16 versions enough to see it happen. this is a very prevalent bug

Affects 1.16.0.60 beta

Having a similar problem in 1.15.2 realms, chunks moved and some duplicated, some deleted and replaced

This bug is fixed in the latest beta version, and the fix will be included in a future update when that is ready for full release (no specific date can be given). We will leave this ticket open as a point of reference until the fix has been fully released (and therefore available on Realms).
