This Unlisted YouTube Video has this evidence.
In Adventure Mode, Place the Shulker Box with the "can_place_on" tag. Once placed, the tag is permanently deleted, even after being mined by anything with "can_destroy" Shulker Box NBT tag. Once mined, it can't be placed again in Adventure Mode.
Recorded from my Xbox One, all Vanilla Minecraft.
Update: Platform Used to be Xbox One, Now it may be Multiple. I never checked.
