I tried everything, lots of users reported this issue on reddit, i just can't leave the beta. it's stuck and now i can't play online since i am on a different version.
I tried to rejoin the beta and leave it again > still stuck
I tried to follow this > still stuck

I tried to totally delete my xbox insider account > still stuck
I tried to recreate insider account > still stuck
I tried to install it on another machine > still stuck
This is starting to get really annoying.

Had the same issue as you, tried everything as well. In my case, it was fixed when I tried the command without the game installed. I don't know if it was luck, but it worked.
