While using the /fill command it will not allow me to use any type of fence other than oak and nether brick.

However, unfortunately this report is Incomplete.
It does not contain enough information and as such, we've unable to understand or reproduce the bug. As Kat mentioned, Bedrock uses Data Values that expand the normal fence item its not clear from your description whether you've tried that or not.
Please have a read through the Guide on creating bug reports and make sure to include enough information in a new report so that a volunteer can easily reproduce the bug you describe.
