Game Crashes, and then my horse disapperars

For the second time, me and my friend have been riding our horses or have them tethered somewhere, like in the first case, when our game has crashed in two separate worlds with months apart between those two circumstances. We figured it was no big deal and figured we would be rolled back a couple minutes. When we opened the game, we were a couple minutes rolled back but both of our horses were gone. But luckily this time when it happened, we found our horses after we reopened the game. It was especially annoying the first time because my horse not only had our one and only diamond horse armor but also but both of our horses had amazing jumps and speeds.
