so, me and a friend are playing in Creative then we switch to survival and all the sudden, I'm able able to fly in survival

I have this bug on my ipad in minecraft version 1.16.50. Every once in a while I am able to fly while in survival. When I stand on the ground I get switched into walking mode but don't lose the ability to fly.
Per the comment from Mega_Spud above, we would need a list of steps to reproduce this bug in order to keep it open.
