The room stopped going away once I put it on easy mode. Now its Stuck next to my house. Am I going to have to chop all it down??? What can I do?

Works As Intended. The only decay on the spire is the 'explosion' at the end of the reactor cycle, which purposely leaves the majority of the spire intact. This allows the player to obtain large quantities of netherrack in the absence of the Nether.
I reccomend checking the Minecraft Wiki prior to reporting an issue on the bugtracker, as what seems to be a bug to you may actually be intended.
