I found a desert temple and I went in it to find no chests and I didn't break the chests from any other desert temple. I found the desert temple without a single chest. I wasn't in a multiplayer world or realms either.

it happens sometimes that,desert temples don't spawn with chests,it's a thing on bedrock.not sure about java
