Iron golems are in the game to protect the villagers. but for a reason, They don't do it (if you hit a villager, they don't attack you and they aren't iron golems that created by the player, these iron golems summoned using commands and most of them spawn in my village automatically with the help of the villagers).

Iron golems do not attack if you are on peaceful mode. Is this on the other difficulty levels?
