Cake disappears

So I've been having this issue for maybe 3 months now, and every time I craft a cake in survival it disappears even if I'm in creative and put it in my inventory it disappears. Right now it lets me get cake in creative but not in survival. I'm sorry if this was already up and a issue but I couldn't find anything like this on here or the web. And not only cake but wheat, milk, blocks, and others. I wanted to put a video up but I couldn't. Um please try and fix this as soon as I can. I waste a lot of stuff in survival and I'm really sad because it took me a long to collect all of the supplies I needed
