We tried the new feature with the netherite tools and armor that make them float in lava but instead, we lost them.

i had same issue on a realm i was testing the ability to throw it in lava then it caught fire and vanished i got rid if the lava and everything then tried a different tool which also burnt

yes i had the same problem on my realm, and i played around wit it a bit and found the only netherite item that does not burn in lava on realms is netherite block
This happened in my survival world.
i was Mining in the nether and I died.
i went back to where I died but my netherite pickaxe was no where to be seen . And that is the story of how I have to find diamonds again.( It’s not easy)
Did you reload the world when the netherite items were in the lava?
